Vertical Life 3 - The Climbing Film Tour 3 - Hosted by K2 Base Camp
Vertical Life Film Tour (VLFT3) is in its third year and is again showcasing incredible climbing and phenomenal storytelling through eight new films - in settings that inspire the adventure community to connect.
The tour delivers the best of Australian vertical adventures to audiences around the globe, while also bringing the best in global climbing films at home here in Australia. With a focus on untold stories, unsung heroes and the faces we've come to know and love in climbing - the Vertical Life Film Tour has something for everyone.
From humble beginnings in 2020, the tour was created by the publisher of Vertical Life and the film geniuses behind Adventure+, to bring inspiration to worldwide climbing communities while outdoor adventure was limited. The tour has grown into a global success since, with Australian climbing films touring to over 12 countries so far.
Hosted by K2 Base Camp at New Farm Five Star Cinemas, the event will be held on Thursday, 17 November 2022 at 7:00 PM. Eight inspiring films in total, including two Australian films that are set in the picturesque Blue Mountains. Both Gigantor and Seven 7 Seven bring phenomenal imagery, incredible storytelling and a generous helping of Australian humour, to global audiences. MIDAIR is a metaphysical bouldering film starring the UK's best all-round climber, Jim Pope. Filmed in iconic Lake District locations and set to a pumping techno soundtrack.

Effective communication is a challenge every climber faces. It’s a sport that requires intense focus, dedication, and overcoming fear. For Deaf climber Sonya Wilson, communication and community is of vital importance. Elevated is a non-verbal film sharing Sonya’s experience as a Deaf woman and outdoor advocate working to bridge the gap between the Deaf community and the outdoor industry, one crag at a time.
